Michael McDivitt has been a Colorado trial lawyer since 1974 and concentrates his practice on personal injury, workers’ compensation, and Social Security Disability benefits claims. He has more than 30 years of trial litigation and settlement negotiation experience.

He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Denver with a Bachelor of Arts in economics; served in the U.S. Army, Criminal Investigation Division in Korea between 1968 and 1970; studied law and economics on a Rotary Foundation Graduate Fellowship from 1972 to 1973 at the University of Western Australia, Perth; and received his Juris Doctor in 1974 from the University of Colorado Law School.

Mr. McDivitt is a member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association (past Board Member), the American Association for Justice, the Colorado Bar Association, the El Paso County Bar Association, the Workers’ Compensation Education Association, and the National Organization of Social Security Claims Representatives (NOSSCR). In addition to being fluent in Spanish, he is a seminar presenter and the author of Chapter 9 of the Colorado Auto Litigator’s Handbook, entitled “Auto Accident Cases: On the Job.”
